Summary
The Security Team Manager (STM) serves as the day-to-day manager of a site security team at a datacenter, overseeing administrative officers, responders, and other security personnel. Reporting directly to the Campus Security Manager (CSM), the STM ensures a cohesive and high-performing team, working collaboratively with other security team managers to maintain a safe environment.
Essential Functions
- Actively manages site security personnel; collaborates with the local branch for recruitment, onboarding, training, and development.
- Provides coaching and implements disciplinary actions as per policy.
- Ensures adherence to policies and procedures by responders and control room supervisors; may act in these roles during peak periods or staff absences.
- Works with the CSM to achieve site health and key performance goals; enhances security team effectiveness.
- Conducts audits, prepares critical reports, and shares confidential information with client management.
- Oversees and maintains site security systems for safe and compliant operations.
- Troubleshoots on-site security technology as needed.
- Assists in site equipment inspections and ensures audit compliance.
- Maintains accurate security documentation following established policies.
- Acts as the primary contact for datacenter management and security personnel in the absence of the CSM.
- Performs additional tasks assigned by management.
- Keeps management informed of major achievements, issues, and concerns.
- Identifies security gaps and proposes enhancements to the security program.
- Evaluates and escalates potential safety issues within the facility.
- Adheres to safe work practices and company safety policies; reports unsafe conditions promptly.
- Conducts all duties in an ethical, professional manner according to company policies and procedures.
