Position Summary
Responsible for the diagnosis and repair of fire and security systems .
About The Position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following . Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Assists in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctioning systems.
- Repairs door and window sensors, motion sensors, glass break sensors, remote controls, cameras, door locks, and all other products used by Guardian.
- Repairs fire alarm systems , and submits corrected deficiency reports, if applicable.
- May complete fire alarm inspections and submit correct reports.
- Maintains, updates, and improves notes and documentation in the CRM system for record keeping.
- Maintains positive working relationship with warehouse, operations staff, and sales reps .
- Self-dispatches to site as needed , ensuring prompt arrival to customer’s homes and businesses.
- Suggests upgrading/upselling customer’s equipment packages, when needed.
- Continued learning and training as product platforms change.
- Willing to travel as required to perform .
- Participates in the on - call schedule.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities .
Education And/or Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Two to four years of experience in alarm or similar installations.
Certificates, Licenses, Or Registrations
- Working toward and/or obtained valid Electrical 06 licen se .
- Working toward and/or obtained NICET Fire Alarm II or CFAT equivalent
- Seattle FA1 Card
- Continued factory training from Siemens, Potter, Honeywell, Bosch, and competent in DSC, Qolsys , GE, DMP, Brivo , Open Options, Eagle Eye, Bosch
- Valid and current d river’s license
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of :
- Comfortable with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently ; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus; uses fingers, hands, arms when working with mouse, keyboard, monitors ; must be able to climb a ladder and be flexible enough to crawl through attics and crawl spaces when required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sometimes work in a typical cubicle type office environment with overhead lighting and temperature control, and low noise levels . The employee mostly travels from job to job in a company vehicle and will be exposed to outside environmental or on-site conditions.
