The Sales Engineer at ZKTeco USA will play a critical role in the sales process, acting as the primary technical resource for our sales team and customers. This individual will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, designing and demonstrating ZKTeco solutions, and providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering effective security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify customer opportunities from a technical standpoint.
- Conduct in-depth product demonstrations of ZKTeco's hardware and software solutions, including access control panels (Atlas and inBio series), biometric readers (fingerprint, facial recognition, and palm vein),
- Design and architect comprehensive security solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer, including system integrations with third-party products.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to prospective clients, clearly articulating the value and benefits of ZKTeco's offerings.
- Respond to technical inquiries and provide pre-sales technical support for our product lines, including our Armatura One and Cielo 365 software platforms.
- Assist in the completion of RFIs, RFPs, and other technical documentation.
- Provide technical training to sales team members, partners, and customers to ensure a thorough understanding of our products and solutions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging trends in the security industry.
- Work closely with the product management and engineering teams to provide feedback from the field and contribute to future product enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in a pre-sales or technical support role within the security or IT industry.
- In-depth knowledge of access control systems, biometric technology (fingerprint, facial recognition),
- Familiarity with IP networking, including TCP/IP, and experience with low-voltage systems.
- Experience with video surveillance systems (CCTV, VMS) is a plus.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Certifications from security industry organizations (e.g., ASIS, SIA) are desirable but not required.
